My Morning Skin-Care Routine

Hair… and skin. These are my biggest areas where I become a product junkie. I was obsessed with skincare at one point and determined to get good skin! I’ve tried quite a few products out and at the moment this trio seemed to be doing the trick for me. I came to the realisation that maybe… just maybe brands do mean it when they say ‘use blah blah, with blah blah’. It hit me like lighting after I liked the Liz Earle toner, i thought to myself ‘I might aswell try the moisturiser as well’ and ta daaa, the trio are a match made in heaven and cause my skin no problems. I will review each below:

Cleanse & Polish

This light cream is a nice start to the day. I gently(when I remember) massage this into my whole face. I then use a hot face towel to wipe it off. I’ve used this cleanser twice now. And it really is great. It Leaves my face feeling fresh and soft and not overly stripped.

Naturally active ingredients include eucalyptus and cocoa butter for smoother, cleaner skin.

This is my favourite part of the day. I recently purchased the spritz version of the toner which is way more practical, in that it saves you way more. The way the other toner dispensed was terrible and I hated faffing around with cotton pads. However I did like pressing the toner into my face. That I miss. With the spritz I like the refreshing  feeling that it gives. and because its easier to use I would purchase in a heart beat. I really also like the smell of it. so nice in the morning!

Naturally active ingredients include aloe vera to revitalise and soften and calendula, chamomile, cucumber and natural source vitamin E to soothe and refresh the skin.

Lastly is the moisturiser. Liz Earle offer a range of moisturiser which cater to your skin needs which is great! I was torn between this one and the light one for combination/oily. I wanted something that gave me extra hydration because I don’t really drink water… unless it’s in my tea…(please don’t judge me) In the end I chose the normal/combination one, this may be too moisturising for hotter weather… we will see this summer! On reviewing its performance, its lasted a very long time, you don’t need a lot, and  its very light but when you apply it on the skin, a little goes a long way.  At first it sits on top the skin, but very quickly it will absorb, which I like a lot. On a interesting note, I bought this instead of repurchasing the Origins Ginzing Moisturiser.. which I will save my opinions for another post. Just to add on, I do sometimes use this as a night cream, it works great!

Rich in naturally actives, including borage oil (a rich source of the essential fatty acid GLA) and natural antioxidants beta-carotene and vitamin E to replace lost moisture and help protect against dryness.

All together I feel these products really do work in harmony together. I have noticed a great change in my skin and its not longer quite so dull. And I don’t get as much breakouts. So i’ve put this as one of the reasons for my skin behaving as of late. I highly recommend all these products individually and together!

Love Emma x
